The Managing Director of the Lagos State Development and Property Corporation, Hon. Ayodeji Joseph, has thrown his weight behind the 2023 Lagos State Street Soccer Championship set to commence on Sunday, 1 October, 2023.
Hon. Ayodeji gave this assurance when the committee led by Bolaji Yusuf paid him a courtesy visit in his office as part of activities to get stakeholders’ buy-in for the 2023 championship starting in October.
According to Hon. Ayodeji, “Grassroots development is the only panacea to talent discovery for any sports. We need to refocus on what we did before in Lagos and many other parts of Nigeria where we discovered great footballers and athletes that represented Nigeria and became global superstars”.

We are looking at a public and private partnership to actualise the lofty programme designed to give the youth a platform to pursue their dreams and also engage them positively”.
