The National Film and Video Censors Board said on Wednesday that it had approved 43 movies in April for public viewing.
This was contained in a statement issued in Abuja by the Acting Head of Corporate Affairs of the NFVCB, Caesar Kagho.
The statement said 19 of the films were produced in English, 14 in Yoruba, seven in Hausa, two in Ibibio, and one in Bini.
It said that one of the movies: “The Return of Baby Oku in America,” was the only film rated under the Parental Guidance category.
The statement said 16 of the movies were classified for viewers 15 years and above.
It listed the movies to include Pretty Liars (English), A Thousand Kisses (English), First Cause (English), Woli Agba (Yoruba), Bebi Pu Lofa (Yoruba) and Ijoba Osekan (Yoruba).
Others are Ruwan Zuma (Hausa), Bugun Abuja (Hausa), Da kaizan Gana (Hausa) and Ebun Akoko (Yoruba).
The statement further said that 26 of the movies were classified 18 years of age.
It said that the movies for 18 viewers include Anwo Ino (Ibibio), ‘Anwo Ino 2 (Ibibio), Baba Babi (Yoruba) and Baba Were (Yoruba).
Others are Asake Oni Bread (Yoruba), Baba Rana (Hausa), Badurwa (Hausa), Har Da mijina (Hausa) and Egbo-Eziza (Bini).
The rest are Spirits and dogs (English), Kubayashi (Yoruba), Ojokoja (Yoruba), United Apart (English), The Harvest Season (English), Jaiye Ogo (Yoruba) and Discussion Continues (English).
The NFVCB said that the classification categories for all movies ranged from Parental Guide to 18 years of age.
It said that viewers, who are 15 years old as classified by the board, should be mindful of imitable techniques, strong language, violence and sex used in the movies.
For movies classified 18, it advised consumers to be mindful of ritual, imitable techniques, fetish practices, strong language and drug abuse contents of the movies.
