Governor Babangida Aliyu of Niger State on Wednesday submitted seven bills to the state assembly for scrutiny and approval.
In a letter signed by his Deputy, Alhaji Ahmed Ibeto, the governor listed the bills to include one for a law to provide for maintenance of security.
Others are a bill to regulate street begging and to provide for the rehabilitation of beggars and another to amend the state Universal Basic Education Board Law, 2005.
Also, a bill to amend Zakkat and Endowment Board Law 2001; a bill to amend the Agency for Mass Education Edict 1991; and a bill to amend the state Co-operatives Societies Law Cap 30 Law of Niger State of Nigeria.
It also included one to repeal the state Primary Health Care Development Agency 2009 and establish the State Primary Healthcare 2013.
The letter was read by the Speaker, Hon. Adamu Usman, at a plenary on Wednesday.
The speaker said that the state executive council had at its meeting on August 14, 2013 deliberated on some of the bills.
