The Police Command in Kano said on Tuesday that it had recovered two rifles from a dustbin in Kano metropolis.
ASP Magaji Majia, the command’s spokesman, said this in a statement made available to newsmen in Kano.
Majia said the recovered weapons were K2 and G3 rifles, adding that the feat was achieved following a tip-off.
“The command is particularly happy with the piece of information given which led to the recovery of two rifles concealed in a dustbin,” Majia said.
He called on residents to continue to give valuable information to law enforcement agencies in order to maintain peace and order.
