With few days to the commencement of the Brazil 2014 World Cup, Super Eagles’ gaffer, Stephen Keshi has emerged as the best coach in Africa. www.coachworldranking.com revealed on Tuesday.
The coaches rating agency placed Keshi in the 23rd position globally, while the AFCON 2013 is placed ahead of other Africa’s coaches with 8536 points.
His Black Stars of Ghana counterparts, James Kwesi Appiah came second on the continent with 6055 points.
Keshi and Appiah managed to finish ahead of France coach Laurent Blanc, Didier Deschamps and Dick Advocaat of Russia.
To his credit, Keshi led the Super Eagles to win the African Cup of the Nations in South Africa and the Mandela Challenge Cup at the expense of Bafana Bafana.
The former national team captain also won a couple of Grade A friendlies and also led the team to FIFA Confederation Cup finals in Brazil.
Meanwhile, Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque topped the poll and was followed by Germany boss Joachim Loew with Uruguay boss Oscar Tabarez in third position. Del Bosque got 24,897 points above Low who has 21,422.
