The First Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Chief Mike Umeh, has charged the Super Eagles to reciprocate the good gestures of the football federation in Providing new Adidas kits for the team for the 2014 World Cup by putting up a good showing in Brazil.
The NFF number two official said this during the unveiling ceremony of the new Adidas kits that took place at the new secretariat of the federation at Package B of the National Stadium, Abuja.
Umeh said: “For the first time, we are using brand new jerseys after today’s unveiling for an international friendly match against Mexico in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States of America come March 5th this year.
“For the first time, the Super Eagles are going to use this brand new jerseys manufactured by world kits manufacturer, Adidas, in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
“Our people say to whom much is given, much is expected.
“We expect our Super Eagles team to reciprocate these kind gestures from the Nigeria Football Federation.
“Our prayer is that first we pray to have the day in our international friendly against Mexico.
This anticipated victory will help to boost the morale of the players and we will have some confidence that we (Nigeria) are going to do well in the 2014 World Cup.
“We hope that these kits would inspire the team and spur them to do well in the World Cup.”
