The Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties, made up of 13 political parties, has officially adopted all the All Progressives Congress House of Assembly candidates for Saturday’s election.
This followed an emergency meeting held at Heritage Hotel, Ogo Oluwa in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
The meeting was attended by the Chairmen of the 13 registered political parties on the platform of the ACPP, an umbrella body of pro-APC political parties in Osun State.
The 13 political parties which met to adopt all APC House of Assembly candidates are: Green Party of Nigeria, New Nigeria Peoples Party, Change Advocacy Party, Hope Democratic Party, Better Nigeria Progressive Party, Mass Action Joint Alliance, Justice Must Prevail Party, Action Alliance, Coalition for Change, Progressive Peoples Alliance, Peoples for Progressive Change, Advanced Congress of Democrats and National Action Council.
Alhaji Rafiu Anifowose of the Green Party of Nigeria and the group’s Vice Chairman assured APC and Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State of their support similar to the one given to him during last year’s governorship election in the state.
“Come Saturday, all of us are voting for APC. It is a collective responsibility which we must make sure it works. thirteen of us had appended our signatures to this release which makes it authentic and valid. Come this Saturday, all of us are voting for APC House of Assembly candidates,” Anifowose said.
Dr. Adekunle Oyerinde, the Chairman of the Mass Action Joint Alliance and the alliance’s spokesperson, also reinstated the body’s commitment and dedication to Oyetola’s agenda of taking Osun State to an enviable status.
“We have ordered and authorized all our members and house of assembly candidates in all the 30 local government of the state to go out on Saturday and vote all APC House of Assembly candidates,” Oyerinde added.
In a similar vein, the Chairman of the Better Nigeria Progressive Party, who is also the State Secretary of the Association, Olopade Victor, said the recent giant strides and achievements of Oyetola and his continuation of former Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s five points agenda motivated and stirred ACPP to adopt all APC House of Assembly candidates.
