The Senate on Tuesday shut down the plenary session of Wednesday to attend to the case of forgery of the Senate’s Rule Book against the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, and the Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu .
Saraki and Ekweremadu and two other officials of the Senate had been arraigned before a Federal High Court for forgery of the rules book.
The case was only adjourned till Wednesday.
The alleged forged rules were used for the elections of Saraki, Ekweremadu and other Principal Officers of the 8th Senate.
Although the Senate failed to state any official position for calling for the adjournment of sitting on Tuesday, this has been the pattern since the cases against Saraki commenced.
