The US Embassy in Abuja has condemned Wednesday’s suicide attacks on Chibok, a town in Borno State.
This was contained in a statement issued by the embassy on Thursday in Abuja and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria.
The statement said: “The U.S. Embassy condemns the multiple suicide attacks against the Chibok community on January 27.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims.
“The United States remains committed to supporting Nigeria’s fight against these senseless acts of terror.”
NAN reports that no fewer than 14 persons were killed on Wednesday in suicide attacks on the Chibok market, while 30 persons were injured.
