About 400 athletes will vie for honours in the fourth edition of the Fast Moving Consumer Goods Games slated to begin on July 9 at the Digital Bridge Institute, Oshodi, Lagos.
The Chief Operating Officer, Media Vision, Jimi Shogbesan, the organisers of the Games, said the athletes will vie for honours in five events of the Games.
Shogbesan said: “It’s yet another exciting season of one of the biggest sporting event in Corporate Nigeria as the FMCG Games is set to be more exciting with BUA Group and UAC foods making their debut.
“We are also going to ensure that the fans and families are not left out of the fun, as there will be fans engagement and other exciting activities at the event.”
Nestle Nigeria Plc emerged overall champions, Unilever Nigeria Plc won the football event, while Friesland Campina made an impressive debut with impressive display in all the events, just as they won bronze medal in football in the last edition of the Games.
Shogbesan also disclosed that about 400 athletes will vie for honours in football, athletics – 100m and 200m, table tennis, scrabble and chess.
