About 21 companies from the United Kingdom are to be part of this year’s Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce and the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry trade mission to Nigeria.
A statement in Lagos by Nicola Dowlen, the Chambers Media Assistant, said that 10 energy and 11 multi-sectoral UK companies would attend the annual mission from June 23 to June 26.
The statement said: “AGCC and LCCI are regular visitors to this region.
“They have teamed up again to explore the growing business opportunities and deliver value to UK businesses.
“This year’s mission will be led by the Deputy President of LCCI, Subhash Thakrar, and Julien Masse, the International Trade Team Leader of AGCC.
“Both of them look forward to helping and supporting mission members do business in Nigeria.”
The statement said that the mission would afford participants the opportunity to interact with their local representatives, distributors and clients in Nigeria.
It also said that the mission would enable participants to embark on research into the Nigerian markets and build on already established contacts.
The statement stated that the mission would present an ideal platform for the companies to explore Nigeria.
It said: “I look forward to co-leading this mission with AGCC.
“There is great emphasis on boosting trade from the UK to Africa.
“This mission presents an ideal platform for companies to explore Africa’s emerging economies and important markets like Nigeria.
“I welcome this opportunity to share my business experience on developing trade links between West Africa and LCCI delegates.”
