Senate President and presidential aspirant under the platform of All Progressives Congress, Senator Ahmed Lawan has assured Nigerians of restoring peace, unity, stability and security for the development of the country.
He made this known when he visited Niger State delegates at government house, Minna to seek their votes.
The aspirant said voting him is voting for peace, unity, economic and educational development, security to enhance the required development of the country.
According to him, “We have to educate our youth give them the best education at primary and secondary schools as future leaders. I will reform the educational system, the opportunity to develop the country”.
He added that “For the last three years I have been the senate President and I have been able to work very well with my colleagues. I have made the senate very peaceful and cooperative, it’s that kind of stability, peace and unity that I want to bring to the villa in 2023”.
Senator Ahmed Lawan explained that he is competent, capable and experienced to take Nigeria out of its present predicament like poverty, insecurity bedeviling the nation hence to be considered as the best candidate for the presidency come 2023.
“We need to consider our architecture of security and I believe in season participation in security, I want to see a situation where citizens who give information are protected and traditional institution play a role in security the country, that will be my priority, to build on success of Buhari.”
Earlier, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, who is the Senate Chief Whip stated that he has brought a good market for Nigerlites “he has been playing opposition, will look into economy, security and agriculture. I bought the form to run but, I dropped for him because we both can’t be running at the same time, I dropped so we should support our own”.
In his remarks, Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello of Niger state, told the delegates that the aspirant has laid down his plans for the state and Nigeria for consideration and support to emerge as the party’s candidate.
The governor stressed that he is good hence has been at the assembly since 1999 that has broken the record as the longest serving lawmaker in the National Assembly.
Chairman of APC in Niger state, Haliru Zakari Jikantoro reassured the aspirant that “he should relax and be sure that APC is one big family in the state”.
He also paid a visit to the Emir of Minna Alhaji Umar Faruk Bahago for his royal blessing before his departure from Minna.
