Diaspora group, Yoruba One Voice(YOV), has warned the former secretary general of the organization to stop dragging the name of the self determination group into politics.
YOV’s warning was in reaction to the statement credited to the ex- secretary general, Dr. Sina Okanlomo that the diaspora group supported the All Progressive Congress (APC)
Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu and his choice of running mate in the 2023 elections.
YOV in a statement by its secretary
general, Prince Adedokun Ademiluyi,
dismissed the statement, saying the former scribe was only doing the bidding of his paymaster.
“We are not surprised by Dr.Sina Okanlomo’s rhetorics in the media. He was a mole when he was in the organization; that was why he was dismissed from YOV four months ago.
“But we wouldn’t have glorified him with our reaction, however, there’s the need for us to put the record straight.YOV is purely a self determination group, we are non partisan.
“We are warning Dr.Okanlomo to desist from using YOV’s name to fly his political ambition.”
Ademiluyi, however, restated the group’s stand on self determination struggle, insisting that YOV would not relent in seeking justice in its quest to liberate the Yoruba race from the shackle of bondage.
“We are aware of his move. We knew very long ago that he was up to something sinister. We knew he had drifted from the initial template of the organisation. And nobody is ready to fall for his antics.
“Dr. Okanlomo is alone and no YOV member is with him in drumming support for any candidate.”
