Senegal was on Monday eliminated from the 2015 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Portugal, after falling 4-3 to Japan in their final Group A match in Espinho.
That also ended Africa’s campaign in the tournament as the second African team, Madagascar, was eliminated from Group D although the final matches in that group are yet to be played.
Hosts, Portugal, and Japan are through to the quarter-finals from Group A, while Italy and Switzerland go through from Group B.
