The Publisher of Vanguard Newspaper, Sam Amuka, was on Saturday attacked by gunmen in his Anthony Village, Lagos State home.
Sources said the gunmen broke into the house in the wee hours of the day.
They were said to have dispossessed Amuka, popularly known as Sad Sam, the name of his famous column, of cash and other valuables.
The invaders, who were said to have communicated in Hausa language throughout the operation, arrived at about 1:30am and did not leave until about 5am.
They were said to have scaled through the high walls of the home and gained entrance through the roof.
They then went on to subdue the guards in the house.
Amuka was said to have sustained injuries as the invaders physically assaulted him
He was said to be receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital as at press time on Sunday.
Ten persons have so far been arrested in connection with the robbery.
They are at present at the Special Anti-Robbery Sqaud in Ikeja.
