The Kaduna State Police Command says the security situation in Kabala West in Kaduna South Local Government Area is under control, following a clash between groups of miscreants.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, Aliyu Usman, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Kaduna on Monday.
Usman confirmed there was a problem between groups of miscreants that disrupted peace in the state.
He said: “When the Police were alerted, we quickly responded and deployed personnel who put the situation under control; so far, everything is under control, law and order has been restored in that Area.”
An eyewitness, Muhammad Auwal, told NAN the crisis was over a girlfriend of the miscreants, adding that two people were injured.
Auwal said: “One of the boys was from Hayin Rigasa while the other boy and the girl were from Kabala West.”
The eyewitness said adequate security personnel had been deployed to the area and that peace had been restored.
He said: “We commend the security operatives deployed to the area.”
