Some staff and students of The Polytechnic Ibadan, Oyo State were on Monday killed in an accident on the Oyo/Ibadan Expressway.
It was a lone accident.
The accident, which involved non-teaching staff and students, was said to have occurred around 6pm at Omotunde Village along the Oyo/Ibadan Expressway.
The Hummer bus said to be conveying the staff and students belong to the Department of Quantity Surveying of the institution.
It was caused by a tyre burst.
The 18-seater bus was said to have somersaulted several times following the tyre burst.
While four of them died on the spot, two died later at the Adeoyo State Hospital.
