Saraki and Dogara, who spoke separately, however, gave timelines for the submission of the reports of the Standing Committees.
Saraki said over 20 Senate standing committees are yet to submit their reports on the 2017 Budget proposal.
He gave the affected committees till Thursday to do so or he will have the Appropriation Committee submit the report of the Executive.
Also speaking inside the chamber, Dogara gave Friday as the deadline to committees yet to submit their report on the 2017 Budget to the Committee on Appropriation to do so.
Dogara said there was an urgent need for the House to conclude work on the 2017 Appropriation Bill.
He said any committee that fails to meet the deadline will face the consequences.
According to Dogara, the affected Chairmen and Deputy Chairmen of the Committees should endeavour to submit their reports latest March 30 to enable the Appropriation Committee hasten the process of passing the 2017 Appropriation Bill.
