The Security Council statement calls for flights to be resumed to the countries hit by Ebola – a move which completely contradicts the advice of respected doctors such as Dr. Lee Hieb, former president of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons.
“You don’t get Ebola from Europe,” she told WND. “You get Ebola from Africa. And it’s a really simple formula: Don’t let people fly to America if they’ve been to areas where there’s an outbreak. When there’s an outbreak, stop air [traffic] flow.”
Hieb added, “If they’re going to use the troops to do population control, which is one of the ways you contain it, basically you just don’t let anybody out. You’d make a ring around where it is, and you’d quarantine the area.”
Ebola was transported to Nigeria by a plane passenger Patrick Sawyer, underscoring the importance of stopping all flights to the Ebola infected countries to prevent Ebola from spreading.
United Nations announced a new emergency health mission, a United Nations Mission for Ebola Emergency Response, or UNMEER, to coordinate a global Ebola deployment.
The UN Security Council resolution on Ebola refers to the Global Health Security Agenda and the International Health Regulations (2005), the basis for global plans for mass forced vaccination and quarantine.
“Emphasizing the key role of Member States, including through the Global Health Security Agenda where applicable, to provide adequate public health services to detect, prevent, respond to and mitigate outbreaks of major infectious diseases through sustainable, well-functioning and responsive public health mechanisms,
“Recalling the International Health Regulations (2005), which are contributing to global public health security by providing a framework for the coordination of the management of events that may constitute a public health emergency of international concern, and aim to improve the capacity of all countries to detect, assess, notify and respond to public health threats and underscoring the importance of WHO Member States abiding by these commitments.”
