Kogi United FC of Lokoja, a Nigeria National League team, says it has ended the screening of invited players for their campaign in the 2017 football season.
The Chairman of the Confluence team, Abdul Sule, said this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday in Lokoja.
According to the statement, the club’s management is satisfied with the near perfect process of selecting the players.
It added that the selected players would move into closed camping upon resumption from New Year break by January.
The statement said: “We have concluded the screening process for this season and the management is pleased with the players we have signed.
“The process has allowed us to get the best legs around to achieve our targets in the coming season.
“The team will move into closed camping for the next phase of screening where more players will be dropped as we can only register 30.
“This will be done when the players resume from break for us to kick start the pre-season exercise fully.”
It also commended Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi Statefor his continued support, saying that Kogi United would reciprocate with an impressive performance in the new season.
