An appeal has again gone to President Muhammadu Buhari to as matter of urgency take radical approach to tackling the issues of insecurity in Nigeria.
The ministerial nominee from Plateau State and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Barrister Solomon Dalung, said this.
Dalung also cautioned the major opposition party in the country, the Peoples Democratic Party, against the use of unguarded utterances in an attempt to rubbish the activities of the APC administration.
Dalung bared his mind over the weekend in Jos, the Plateau State capital, when he spoke with newsmen on what he termed fundamental issues affecting the country in recent times.
He advised the Federal Government to come out with policies that will fish out criminals.
He said the only point that will build confidence in the minds of the people is to see that those found perpetuating crimes of any magnitude in the villages in the name of militias, Fulani marauders, unknown gunmen and others are prosecuted.
He equally appealed to the Fulanis and other warring communities to sheath their swords and embrace peace.
On whether Buhari’s 100 days in office was futile as alleged by the PDP, Dalung said the administration has given hope to all Nigerians that the APC is set to deliver on her promises.
Dalung said: “For PDP to say the 100 days of Buhari Administration in office was 100 days of waste, is unfair comment.
“The PDP should be a bit fair in the assessment of President Buhari’s 100 days in office.
“If we say 100 days is 100 days of waste, then we will not be too sincere in what we are saying.”
According to him, within the past three or four months, Buhari has been able to release bailout funds to settle unpaid salaries the PDP government was not able to pay.
He added that the APC government has been able to stabilize price and supply of fuel, in addition to stable supply of electricity, adding that the first 100 days of the Buhari administration was better than four years of PDP.
