Since the political crisis in Rivers State broke out, about five principal actors have been identified.
Top on the list of these actors are President Goodluck Jonathan; his wife, Dame Patience Jonathan; the Governor of Rivers State, Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi; the Supervising Minister of Education, Chief Nyesom Wike; and the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Police Command, Mbu Joseph Mbu.
Of the lot, Mbu is the only one who is not a politician.
Mbu’s roles in the crisis in Rivers State have been largely criticised by the All Progressives Congress and Amaechi, while the Peoples Democratic Party and Wike have been solidly behind him.
Mbu has been accused of partisanship based on what many consider his close relationship with Dame Jonathan.
In the photograph accompanying this write-up, Mbu is seen with the First Lady in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
We at Premium Eagle Media Limited, publishers of The Eagle Online, want to give our readers the opportunity of writing catchy captions for the photograph for a sum of N10,000.
To submit your caption, please go to the comment box for the story, which you will find below.
A panel of judges has been set up for this.
The offer will be on for two weeks beginning from today.
Winners will be announced on February 7, 2014.
