Number nine seed, Japanese Kei Nishikori, on Friday lost to Spaniard Bautista Agut in the men’s singles at the ongoing Wimbledon tennis championships.
Bautista, who is number 18 seed in the tournament, stunned the Japanese who looked like truning the game round in the third set on 6-4, 7(7)-6(3), 3-6, 6-3.
Both had qualified for the third round with spectacular and thrilling performances in the first two rounds.
Bautista shocked spectators with his accurate smashes to advance to the fourth round, leaving the Japanese bewildered.
The Spaniard will now face seventh seed Croatian Marin Cilic.
