The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, on Friday presented a N307 billion 2016 Budget to the Rivers state House of Assembly.
The Budget, tagged: “Budget of consolidation,” is coming barely two weeks after Wike presented a supplementary budget of N104.2 billion for 2015 to the Assembly.
While N187 billion is for capital expenditure, N120 billion was budgeted for recurrent expenditure.
WIke promised that the government will strengthen the process of diversification of sources of income.
He said the budget will be largely financed from the Federal Allocation and Internally Generated Revenue.
