2019: Why I won’t unseat Ambode – Femi Otedola

Otedola stated this on his Twitter handle on Friday

Billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, has debunked media reports that he is contesting for the position of Governor of Lagos State.
Otedola stated this on his Twitter handle on Friday.
He said rather than seek to be governor, he will support the incumbent, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
Otedola had this week been spotted in a public transport, which made people insinuate that he is seeking the governorship seat in Lagos State.
His father, Chief Michael Otedola, was once the governor of Lagos State on the platform of the National Republican Convention.
He tweeted on Friday: “My attention has been drawn to a news piece where false information from a parody account was posted. I am a man of the people and I will always be on the side of the masses but I am stating clearly via this medium that I am not running for office.
“The Governor of Lagos State is doing a commendable job and Lagosians should be proud of him.
“Fake accounts in my name have to have the word ‘parody’ in their bio/profile to exist. @verified has recently paused verifications so, until I get the blue tick, please always ensure to read the bio/profile section of accounts that appear to be mine.”
