Afrobeat musician, Dede Mabiaku, on Thursday walked out of a live radio interview on 91.3FM, a Lagos-based radio station, over a disagreement with the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.
Mabiaku and Adesina were being interviewed on the state of the nation and the performance of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
However, Mabiaku got angry during the interview, alleging that Adesina asked him to “shut up”.
He demanded an apology from Adesina over this.
Adesina, however, insisted that he did not tell Mabiaku, who interrupted him while answering a question, to shut up.
A replay of the video of the interview revealed Adesina told Mabiaku to “keep quiet” in order to allow him respond to a question posed to him by the interviewers.
Adesina said: “Dede, will you keep quiet and let me talk?”
With Adesina refusing to withdraw the alleged “shut up” statement, Mabiaku stormed out of the studio, but however returned later to conclude the interview session. Both men took photographs after the interview.
