West Bromwich Albion have shattered their transfer record with the £10 million (N2.6 billion) signing of Nigerian international striker, Brown Ideye.
The 25-year-old, who was with Dynamo Kyiv, held talks with Albion officials before undergoing a medical.
Ideye signed on Friday evening and was handed the No. 9 shirt.
The forward has scored 33 goals in 74 games for the Ukranian giants, also netting five in 23 for his club.
Ideye has previously played for French club, Sochaux, and Swiss side, Neuchatel Xamax.
The Baggies are still looking for more forwards.
Their previous record transfer fee was the £6 million spent on Stephane Sessegnon last summer.
Technical Director, Terry Burton, added: “When I arrived at Albion, the recruitment department flagged Brown up as the man at the top of their wish list.
“It is a fantastic signing because of the quality and the potential of the player.
“I can see that he really wants to be here and that he really wants to be playing in the Premier League.
“He’s a dynamic player who likes to get in behind defenders and he has the pace to do so.
“He gets himself into good scoring positions in the box and if there are opportunities then he will get on the end of them.
“We’re looking forward to seeing him play for the club and scoring goals.”
