The Oyo State Police Command has said it is still on the trail of the two factional leaders of the proscribed National Union of Road Transport Workers in Oyo State, Lateef Akinsola, popularly known as Tokyo, and Lamidi Mukaila, whom many call Auxiliary.
The position of the police was made known on Tuesday by the new Commissioner of the state command, Tambari Mohammed.
Mohammed, who said this while on a visit to the state Governor, Senator Isiaka Ajimobi, vowed that the two men, declared wanted by the police last year, will be arrested soon.
He said: “There is no hiding place for hoodlums in the state.
“The men should surrender themselves to the police and explain their involvement in the incident.
“If they don’t cooperate, we shall do everything to fish them out.”
The state’s Deputy Governor, Moses Adeyemo, received Mohammed.
Adeyemo pledged the support of the state government to ensure Mohammed achieved success in his assignment.
