No Nigerian referee was selected to officiate at the forthcoming U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, Senegal 2015, as the Confederation of African Football unveiled match officials for the tournament on Monday.
Ten referees and 13 assistant referees have been selected to supervise matches during the November 28 to December 12, 2015 tournament.
Matches will be held in two cities – Dakar and M’Bour – for the tournament that will see the top three teams qualifying to represent Africa at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The selected referees are Redouane Jiyed (Morocco), Zio Juste Ephrem (Burkina Faso), Joshua Bondo (Botswana), Mehdi Abid Charef (Algeria), Hudu Munyemana (Rwanda), Antoine Max Depadoux Effa Essouma (Cameroon), Nampiandra Hamada (Madagascar), Sinko Bienvenu (Cote d’Ivoire), Diedhiou Malang (Senegal), Youssef Essrayri (Tunisia).
The assistant referees are Jerson dos Santos (Angola), Arsenio Marengula (Mozambique), Eldrick Adelaide (Seychelles), Drissa Kamory Niare (Mali), Berhe O. Michael (Eritrea), Yahaya Mahamadou (Niger), Mark Sonko (Uganda), Samba Malik (Senegal), Elmoiz Ali Mohamed Ahmed (Sudan), Mahmoud Ahmed Abo el Regal (Egypt), Issa Yaya (Chad),Oliver Safari (DR Congo) and Sidiki Sidibe (Guinea).
