Two dead, three missing in gunmen attack on senatorial candidate’s campaign team

No fewer that two people were killed with three missing and many injured in an attack on the candidate of the All Progressives Congress candidate for Kwara South Senatorial District, Lola Ashiru, on Tuesday.

The campaign team was in Ojoku, Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State when they were attacked by gunmen, who also brandished other dangerous weapons, on Tuesday.

They were attacked by suspected political thugs.

Some of those who sustained injuries as result of the attack are currently in Offa General Hospital receiving treatment.

As at the time of filing this report, there has been no official statement from the Police or the Kwara State chapter of the party on the incident.
