Nigerians on Twitter trolled former Minister and former presidential aspirant, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, when she spoke on the abducted Chibok girls, who are still in the captivity of Boko Haram Terrorists.
Ezekwesili stated on Saturday on her Twitter handle that the government must do more to rescue the abducted Chibok girls.
She stated: “In just 9 days, it’ll be 5 years since 112 remaining ChibokGirls were abducted from their secondary school in Borno State. 5 years. Not a word on the status of their rescue by @MBuhari ‘s FG. It is a shame. A grand shame. We shall never forget them. What’s left to be said?
“Truth is, our Land and people do pay for every injustice that our government fails to address @MBuhari . In 9 days it’ll be 5 years of the cry of Chibokgirls & ChibokParents. Imagine 112 + 1 daughters abducted for 5 years and 1 respectively. Imagine the cries of distress.
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy. — Proverbs 31:8-9 112 ChibokGirls abducted 5 years ago in school. I DapchiGirl abducted 1 year ago and left behind.
“Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan, I will now arise,” says the Lord. “I will protect them from those who malign them.” — Psalm 12:5 #ChibokGirls in captivity of terrorists for 5 years. Leah Sharibu for over 1 year. Alice of UniCef for a year.”
However, Twitter followers have since come after her, stressing that she lacks the moral right to talk about the Chibok girls.

Jafaar stated: “You partly share in the blame when you dashed the hope of Nigerian youths by withdrawing from the race, and now you back complaining again. I personally won’t take you serious. We had opportunity to change the course, but you burgled it.”

“Four years plus and yet nothing has been found to indict her; a government that labels everybody as corrupt but yet to indict any. If you are not on their side you are corrupt but when you jump ship you are a saint. You should be wiser than this now.”
Ichie stated: “But you and I know that they were no missing girls. It was all a scheme to remove the past government.”
Mercy Attih posted: “I remember Lie Mohammed took you on a military chopper to comb the whole of Sambisa forest in order to rescue the girls. You came telling us how you saw only ‘one woman running with a child’ in the forest. So, why come to disturb our peace with a lame, lifeless tweet like this?”

Jude Leonard posted: “Haaa! Aunty, have your returned or just woke up again? Suddenly, you remembered the Chibok girls after wasting space on our ballot paper. People we hold at high esteem that begin to make us look stupid.”
Onwuneme Israel stated: “Are we still talking about Chibok girls or nursing mothers?? This is done and dusted. Move on.”
Alexis Aldavison said: “Start talking less madam because Buhari would have been voted out if you didn’t cage some votes that spliced the minds of voters.”
The Eagle Online reports that Ezekesili is the co-convener of the Bring Back Our Girls movement and she was also a presidential aspirant in the just concluded general elections on the platform of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria and she was once the Minister of Solid Minerals and later Education under President Olusegun Obasanjo.
She withdrew from the presidential race shortly before the elections, with her party accusing her of not accounting for the funds she took for campaign.
