Veteran journalist and syndicated columnist, Chief Tola Adeniyi, will on December 13 host hundreds of colleagues, friends, relations, well wishers and family members at the City Hall Ago-Iwoye, Ijebu, Ogun State as he gives a rousing sendforth to his 96-year-old mother who commenced her journey in the Continuum on October 31 and was buried according to Islamic rites the next day.
Madam Princess Selimot Eebudola Adeniyi, born into royal families in Ayepe, Ijebu-Ode, Odogbolu and Ago-Iwoye, grew up in Liyangi and Ijebu-Ode before finally settling down in 1939 with her late husband, Prince Ambaliy Alaba Adeniyi, who predeceased her on January 31, 1992.

She was a trader up till when she retired at age 80.
Left to mourn her are four children – Deaconess Sarah Adunni Ifenuga, a retired teacher; Chief Tola Adeniyi, author and publisher; Prince Olaitan Adeniyi, Toromogbe of Arelu fame; and Prince Bola Adeniyi, a para-medical personnel and businessman.
Tolu Adesegun, her second daughter, predeceased her.
Several grandchildren and great grand children are testimonials of her blessed womb.
