Three journalists die in road crash

Three members of the pen profession died on Friday in a fatal auto crash in Osun State on Friday.
Top on the list of those who died in the accident that occurred around Ilesa in Osun State was the former Secretary of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Lagos State chapter, Adolphus Okonkwo.
Also reported dead were two female members of the NUJ, whose names could not be confirmed as at press time.
They work for the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA 7) in Lagos State and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria in Ibadan, Oyo State.
They were returning from Abuja where they had gone to attend a meeting of the NUJ at the national level.
The journalists, led by the Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the NUJ, Deji Elumoye, were traveling in a bus belonging to the union when the accident occurred.
Elumoye was said to have escaped with minor injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, simply identified as Babatunde, but popularly known as Seargie, was also said to be okay.
But a member of the Lagos State Executive Council of the union, Sylva Okereke, is said to be on danger list.
