Jimi Deji-Tijani
1. Christian Eriksen – (Aged 20, Denmark, Ajax)
– A creative midfielder with the ability to use both feet. In 2011, he was named Danish Footballer of the Year. His best attributes include vision, passing, and great dribbling.
2. Stephan El Shaarawy (Aged 19, Italy, AC Milan)
– A very fast player, with the ability to ghost past players with ease. He can play as a striker, or as an attacking midfielder. Either way, he has the ability to score goals, proved by his performances for Padova in Serie B last year.
3. Thiago Alcantara – (Aged 20, Spain, Barcelona)
– Alcantara will become one of the best players in the world very soon. Already an integral part to Barcelona’s team, his quick thinking, ball control, and the ability to use either foot makes him a very gifted player for his age.
4. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – (Aged 18, England, Arsenal)
Recently signed by Arsenal, Oxlade-Chamberlain has a similar style to Theo Walcott, but with the ability to score goals, use tricks, and beat defenders easily.
5. Paul Pogba – (Aged 18, France, Manchester United)
Paul Pogba has been compared to a young Patrick Vieira, with the ability to head the ball, unleash a powerful shot, and play with a maturity much beyond his age.
6. Mario Gotze – (Aged 19, Germany, Borussia Dortmund)
The biggest talent in Germany at the moment. A playmaker with the ability to create chances out of nothing, Gotze has been linked to Manchester United, Chelsea and a host of other big clubs.
7. Josh McEachran (Aged 18, England, Chelsea)
Tipped to replace Frank Lampard at Chelsea once he retires. A creative player with a level of discipline to be able to defend and attack.
8. Mattia Destro – (Aged 20, Italy, Siena)
A goalscoring machine already for the Italy Under-21’s, and soon will become a key figure for Italy in the future.
9. Alexsander Merkel – (Aged 19, Germany, AC Milan)
A player with multiple roots (Russia, Kazakhstan, and Germany), Merkel is a disciplined player with a keen eye for goal, and the ability to defend in equal measure.
10. Kryriakos Papadopoulos (Aged 19, Greece, Schalke 04)
Aged just 19, and already a key part of Schalke’s team. He can play as a defensive midfielder and at central defence. At 6 foot, his presence can be felt, and alongside another young talent Benedikt Howedes, Schalke’s defence is strong and ready for the future.
