Ogundipe made the appeal during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday in Lagos.

Head of the Media Unit of the university, Olufadeke Akinleye, said the institution would commence online classes on the announced date due to the second wave of COVID-19.

The News Agency of Nigeria reported that Ibidapo-Obe died on January 3 of COVID-19 related disease. He was aged 71.

Olukoya stated this on Monday on the sidelines of the unveiling of the newly-renovated University of Lagos Senate House foyer and reception, which he donated to the institution.

Both UNILAG branch Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Dr. Dele Ashiru, and Personal Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, A.O. Bolarinwa, confirmed the death of the professor of Systems Engineering.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Gbajabiamila made the commendation while inspecting the hostel project in the university, expressing satisfaction at the level of implementation.

Ogundipe disclosed this in an interview on the sidelines of a ceremony to hand over the vertical extension of the Faculty of Law of the institution on Wednesday in Lagos.

The suit, which was filed at the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, Ikoyi, came up for mention on Tuesday.
