According to the statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Tayo Ekundayo, the state government flayed Omoyeni and Adeyeye for attempting to play politics with the welfare of pensioners and also making false claims over the debt profile of the state
Presenting the document to the governor at the Executive Chamber, Governor’s Office, Ado-Ekiti on Monday, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Wale Fapounda, noted that the provisions of the 1999 Constitution in Sections 3 (6), 4(6), and Section 7(7) as well as Sections 9, and 162 (3),(5),(6) explain conditions for the creation of the councils
Fayemi, recalled that N21 million was disbursed to 51 persons earlier in April to enable them access various secondary and tertiary healthcare services within and outside the country
Responding to some of the requests raised by the leader of the union, Fayemi said government would expedite action on the Ilupeju/Ire Road rehabilitation work, ensure the restoration of pipe borne water Oye Ekiti, while the proposed housing estate in the community would be seen to completion
Inaugurating the steering committee in Ado Ekiti, Governor Fayemi explained that the Knowledge Zone was created because the state needed “to step out of the shadows, let go of yesterday’s strategies and leap into the future with new processes, new approaches to solving our problem
