The State Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Sam Egube, disclosed this during a media briefing on Friday.
This was made known at the conclusion of a five-day consultative forum held at the Radio Lagos Hall, LTV, Agidingbi, Ikeja, on the creation of the 2022 appropriation bill across the five divisions of the state (Ikeja, Badagry, Ikorodu, Lagos Island and Epe) aimed at seeking the input of different stakeholders on the incoming year budget.
Speaking at the event, which commenced with the Ikeja division of the state, the Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Sam Egube, explained that the government needed the input of the citizens for the preparation of the 2022 budget in order to ensure inclusiveness, transparency and accelerated development in all part of the state.
Lagos Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Sam Egube made this disclosure at the weekend during a virtual stakeholders’ workshop tagged ‘Operationalizing Sustainability and Circular Economy organised by the Institute of Directors, IoD in collaboration with Afrikairos, Circular Economy Innovation Partnership, CEIP and Growing Business Foundation, GBF.
The Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, and Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Sam Egube, spoke about these issues on Wednesday during a joint appearance on a TVC News programme, titled: “Business Nigeria.”
Speaking during a media briefing on the Analysis of the Year 2021 Budget at Alausa, Ikeja, the Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Sam Egube, said that the budget size was N1.164 trillion.
