Commissioner for Health Prof. Akin Abayomi, disclosed this in a press statement signed by Filade Olumide, Deputy Director, Public Affairs, LSPHCB, Friday, saying that a new date for the introduction of the exercise would be announced later.

The babies delivered through cesarean section by Mrs Olufoye were a girl weighing 2.2 kilograms born at 12:07 a.m.; the second child, a boy weighed 2 kilograms was delivered at 12:08 a.m. while the third child a girl born at 12:09 a.m. weighed 2.1 kilograms.
Abayomi made the disclosure Monday while giving the state’s COVID-19 update for March 20 to March 30.

Speaking at the launch of the program at Oregun Junior High School, Ikeja, the State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi noted that the Secondary school eye health program is one of the strategies of the State Government through its Blindness Prevention Program to reduce the burden of childhood blindness in Lagos State.

The commissioner also said that the state had conducted 783,404 valid COVID-19 sample tests since the inception of the pandemic.
Speaking after meeting with team leads of the Lagos State COVID-19 Incident Command Structure and the Emergency Operation Centre and a tour of the Infectious Disease Hospital and Biosecurity facility, Yaba, led by the Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, members of the diplomatic communities agreed that the State Government has done a lot to mitigate the scourge of the infection while pledging to continue to offer support to the COVID19 Lagos response directly and indirectly.
