Her Majesty, 94, is laying the Duke of Edinburgh, who stood by her side for seven decades of unwavering service, to rest in St George’s Chapel.
The funeral is set to begin at 2:40pm with the coffin leaving the castle, followed by a funeral march and a minute of silence nationwide, according to Buckingham Palace.
Prince Philip died at age 99 last week and his funeral will be held at Windsor Castle on Saturday.
The event is to be a “ceremonial royal funeral”, rather than a state funeral, which “very much reflects the duke’s wishes”, a palace spokesman said.

The decades-spanning marriage of the Queen — the nation’s longest serving sovereign — has outlasted those of all prior British monarchs
The palace said earlier that the prince, also known as the Duke of Edinburgh, had been admitted to London’s King Edward VII Hospital on Tuesday night, “as a precautionary measure, for treatment of an infection arising from a pre-existing condition”
The palace said he would no longer be able to “stand up much” and thus announced he would retire
