Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Friday commissioned the Pen Cinema Bridge and five arterial road networks in the area, formally opening the infrastructure for public use.
The project is said to be at 90 per cent completion, with all civil works already completed on the bridge.

The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, has assured residents that ongoing construction of the Pen Cinema Bridge in Agege would soon be completed.
Sanwo-Olu gave the assurance on Sunday in an interview with newsmen during an inspection of roads under rehabilitation by the Lagos State Public Works Corporation in the Iju/Fagba area of the state.

A statement released on Friday by the Ministry of Transportation said the restriction is necessitated by the construction of Precast/Prestressed Concrete for the dual carriage flyover at Pen Cinema Junction
In a statement by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Engr Olujimi Hotonu, the State Government said there would be a complete closure of the roads in the axis at some point during the construction but it would start with partial restriction of movement.
