The former LG boss said this on Tuesday while reacting to his removal on Monday by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
Appolos who hails from Isiko village in Obingwa Local Government Area of the South eastern State restated that he was asking for his people’s support because he is “eminently qualified to be the steward of their trust and mandate in the Legislative Assembly”.
Kalu on Friday paid a visit to Ikpeazu in his country home in Umuobiakwa, Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State.
The News Agency of Nigeria Correspondents, who monitored the exercise in Umuahia North and Obingwa Local Government Areas, also report that as at 10:40am, officials of the Abia State Independent Electoral Commission had yet to arrive at the polling units visited.
