The Non-Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities of Educational and Associated Institutions have commended the Federal Government for the approval of N8 billion for the payment of Earned Allowance.
They are the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Polytechnics, Non-Academic Staff Union and Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics.
The Minister, who made the appeal on Tuesday in Abuja, said information from field officers of the Ministry of Labour and Employment indicate that the unions were yet to comply with the court order.
But the unions have kicked against the action and urged the government to rescind its decision

The Deputy Registrar (Information and Public Relations), of the institution, Olanrewaju Kuye, said the issues are being handled by the State Government, appealing to the unions to call off their strike to enable amicable resolution of their grievances
The unions said that there had been allegations of gross misconduct, high handedness, corruption and abuse of office against the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Adegoke Adegbite
