In a message of condolence on Thursday in Abuja, Atiku said Mrs. Njideka Ezeife was an elegant First Lady of Anambra State during the aborted 3rd Republic, and a woman political leader in the defunct Social Democratic Party, who contributed immensely to the victory of the party in Anambra State and in the annulled Presidential election.

Mrs Ezeife was the Anambra State First Lady from January 1992, to November 1993, when the husband was the state governor.
