Key stakeholders made this assertion in a communique issued on Sunday after a Webinar and Physical “Stakeholders’ Review Meeting on the Recommendations of the Policy Dialogue on Border Closure and Matters Arising”.
Dr. Ken Ukaoha, NANTS National President, made the call on Monday in Abuja when he led a delegation of the association, including some Nigerian traders in Ghana, to the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, to explore ways of resolving the crisis.
They are seeking the Federal Government’s intervention in resolving issues bordering on closure of members’ shops by the Ghanaian Authority.
Dr. Ken Ukaoha, NANTS National President, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday in Abuja, also urged the Federal Government to be more assertive in the imbroglio.
The National Association of Nigerian Traders has advised the National Assembly to urgently ratify the African Continental Free Trade Area agreement to ensure its speedy implementation.
