A Kaduna High Court on Thursday fixed November 7 for ruling on the bail application filed by the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Ibrahim Zakzaky and his wife, Zinat.

Justice Hannatu Balogun in her ruling on the matter said that the state assembly did not investigate nor allow the two lawmakers to defend themselves of any allegation against them.
The adjournment followed the non-tendering of the assets declaration documents of El-Rufa’i by the Code of Conduct Bureau when he served as Director General, Bureau of Public Enterprises and as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.
Governor El-Rufai had in February sued Sani demanding N500 million for alleged defamatory statement contained in a publication.
The Court, presided over by Justice Muhammad Lawal-Bello, adjourned the matter to determine the jurisdiction application raised by the respondents in the suit.
Umar, who is Director of Sahel Technical Services Limited, had in March 2014 secured a contract from the Kaduna State Ministry of Local Government to supply 115 units of Hand Tillers to all the 23 Local Government Areas of the state.
