Sonny Echono, the Permanent Secretary in the ministry made the clarification at a symposium in Abuja.

The Director Education Support Service Department in the ministry, Justina Ibe, said on Thursday in Birnin Kebbi during the training that the menace of drug abuse among students have become alarming.

The Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, gave the assurance at the launch of the Annual Readership Promotion Campaign organised by the library in Abuja on Tuesday.

Adamu said this at the 33rd National Standing Committee Meeting on Accreditation and Evaluation of Foreign Qualifications in Abuja on Monday.
