The human rights activist, who spoke in an emotion-laden speech on Tuesday in Abuja, thanked the Federal Government for the conferment of the Grand Commander of the Federal Republic on the late politician.

NAN reports that on June 6, Buhari directed that the nation’s Democracy Day will, henceforth, hold on June 12 of every year as against the current arrangement where the ceremony holds on May 29.
They are: Chief Agunwa Anekwe, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, and two former presidents of the Senate, Iyorchia Ayu andAmeh Ebute.
The declaration, according to a statement on Monday, was in honour of the winner of June 12, 1993 presidential election, late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola.
The commendation was contained in a letter Nwosu wrote to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, on Monday in Abuja.
