The NGO’s Senior Programme Officer,  Bolanle Dare said at a Universal Basic Education Act 2004 sensitisation programme in Lagos,  that children should be encouraged to complete their basic education.

Olufunso Owasanoye, Executive Director of HDI, said that teaching profession had remained in crisis, especially in the face of poor remuneration and welfare of teachers, which made it unattractive.
