The Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board has responded to a Freedom of Information request by the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, disclosing how “the government spent Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) funds on primary school education between 2015 and 2019 including spending N45 million in one week to train one thousand primary school teachers.”

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project has sent a Freedom of Information request to Dr. Muhammed Isah, Chairman, Code of Conduct Bureau, urging him to use his “good offices and leadership position to urgently provide information on specific details of asset declarations submitted to the CCB by successive presidents and state governors since the return of democracy in 1999.”
