Uduaghan made the appeal on Tuesday in an acceptance speech in appreciation of the Bridge Builders Award given to him by the National Orientation Agency in conjunction with Love To The World Initiative, a non-governmental organisation
Dr. Uduaghan, reacting to the announcement of the death said, “Though it is saddening to lose a patriot like Chief Ibru, we are comforted by the fact that he set the stage for the new Delta as the first civilian governor of the state. Dr. Uduaghan in a statement shortly after the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal gave its verdict, which threw out the petitions of the governorship candidates of the Labour Party, Chief Great Ogboru, and All Progressives Congress, O’tega Emerhor, said the ruling was a further demonstration that Deltans overwhelmingly voted for the PDP and Okowa during the elections
